Something else in Seville

GASTRONOMY

In Seville we are very lucky having such an incredible gastronomy. The offer is wide and for every taste. Traditional and lifelong bars, with dark wood tables and pictures of Virgin Mary on the walls and with its own speciality of the house in a “tapa” format (a small portion of food). You can’t miss spinach with chickpeas or pork tenderloin in whiskey sauce. Modern bars with a “greener” decoration and eye-catching dishes, where the fusion of traditional and modern ingredients is their reality, as for example Iberian pork shoulder with quinoa. It is a “must” to have a very cold beer or a local wine everywhere. In the last times, high cuisine is growing a lot however, there is only one Michelin starred restaurant in Seville, but many restaurants are really close to get the first one. Some of them are very elegant and some others more casual. Dishes as goat milk cheese from Espartinas (a town close to Seville) filled with fig, acid apple and vermouth from Alcala (another town in the same area), will amaze the most refined palates.
